History

In 1958, Larry Schaefer began working in residential construction for a family-owned contracting firm in Lansing, MI. Larry started his own business in 1962. It was a very small operation; two brothers working together in many aspects of home construction, including masonry, framing, roofing and trim work. This wide range of experience gives Larry T. Schaefer, Inc., a strong, practical background in home building. Larry married Joan in 1963, and they have worked together ever since.

Today, quality, custom home building and remodeling is our specialty. We provide individualized attention to our customers, from designing plans to the final touches. Serving the DeWitt Tri-County communities since 1962, each generation continues our tradition of commitment to our customers. Over the years we have tailored our services to our customers changing needs. Sometimes this means building a larger (or smaller) home or enhancing an existing home with an addition or remodeling work. Supporting us in our goal towards customer satisfaction are our dedication and hard-working employees. Professional service and quality workmanship with a personal touch is our trademark.
